This letter is written on a flier (printed matter) entitled \"Religious Freedom Amendment: First Amendment to the United States Constitution.\" Francis Ellingwood Abbot writes: \"I hope the new league will vote to petition Congress to adopt, and recommend to the several states for adoption, a 'Religious Freedom Amendment' substantially identical with that at the head of this sheet. If you can sincerely approve this measure, a public approval of it from you would be worth an army to our cause.\""
