In the head- spine corner of the first page \"To F.J. Garrison.\" is written and underlined in pencil, while under the salutation the number \"13\" is also written in pencil. In the head- fore corner of the adjacent page, \"MS. A.1.2.37 p.27\" is also written in pencil. Under the signature, \"Daughter of Joshua R. Giddings.\" has been added in pencil. The final page of the letter is written vertically, facing the fore edge of the page."
