notes
"Holograph, signed. Margaret H. Landt wishes to engage in something which will be \"more active and healthful.\" Landt remembers Miss Weston [Deborah Weston]'s kindness when she was in Germantown, and asks if she knows anything. Landt pays tribute to \"the dear, gentle one who passed so sweetly away\" [this is a reference to Mrs. Ashmead], and comments on \"Howly\" and \"Pressy\" [Howland Ashmead and Preston Ashmead]. She describes the monuments to Mrs. Ashmead at the graveyard at St. James the Less."
