"Holograph, signed with initials. John Anderson came with William Lloyd Garrison on Saturday and was anxious to raise money to redeem the state pledge. They stopped at Edward Earle's, a Quaker friend. Earle was cowhided in the street by his cousin, but remained non-resistant and made no attempt to defend himself. Garrison lectured in a Methodist meetinghouse to a more than capacity audience. Garrison writes about his immediate plans."
