"Holograph, signed with initials. Letter is written in pencil. William Lloyd Garrison was met at the depot in Richmond, Indiana, by Major Isaac Kinley. The next day he was given a tour of the city. When purchasing his train ticket, Garrison was robbed of $70 by a pickpocket. He is sending $300 to William Lloyd Garrison Jr. William Lloyd Garrison was pleased that Mrs. Helen Eliza Garrison thinks so highly of Henry Villard. This evening, Garrison will lecture on behalf of the American Freedmen's Aid Commission."
