notes
"Holograph, signed. In this letter, William Lloyd Garrison expresses his devotion to Henry Clarke Wright and admiration for his character. He praises Wright's \"advocacy of unpopular truths.\" Garrison attended the funeral of Mrs. Thankful Hussey Southwick; Adin Ballou, George Thompson, George Bradburn, and William L. Garrison spoke at the funeral. Garrison is not surprised that Henry Clarke Wright feels lonely as a result of the \"breaking up of our anti-slavery operations.\" He points out that many abolitionists have died. Garrison will be in Europe for the next four or five months."
