He praises Wright's \"advocacy of unpopular truths.\" Garrison attended the funeral of Mrs. Thankful Hussey Southwick; Adin Ballou, George Thompson, George Bradburn, and William L. Garrison spoke at the funeral. Garrison is not surprised that Henry Clarke Wright feels lonely as a result of the \"breaking up of our anti-slavery operations.\" He points out that many abolitionists have died. Garrison will be in Europe for the next four or five months."
