William Lloyd Garrison wants Wendell Phillips Garrison to have a copy of \"Roger's group, (as 'revised and improved,')\" [i.e. a sculpture entitled \"The Fugitive's Story,\" of a group of people including William Lloyd Garrison, by John Rogers]. He thinks that John Rogers, the sculptor, ought to advertise it. William L. Garrison had a very enjoyable Christmas. Garrison writes: \"Harry [Henry Villard] got up a handsome tree display for the children and grandchildrem to say nothing of the parents and grandparents, after the German style, and it still stands an ornament to the parlor.\" Fanny Garrison Villard and her baby boy are doing well. Garrison says about his wife, Mrs. Helen Eliza Garrison, that \"it is about six years, to a day, since she had her paralytic stroke.\" The death of E. M. Stanton is \"to be regretted as a national loss.\""
