Colver showed a \"devilish spirit\" in the debates. Garrison has been busy moving into a house in Cambridgeport with a lease of two years. Garrison is in need of money; he has borrowed from both Samuel Philbrick and Francis Jackson. He asks George William Benson to obtain a loan for him of $300. Garrison had to pay $40 to release his brother James from the Navy Yard."
