"Holograph, signed. William Lloyd Garrison rejoices that Thomas Clarkson has publicly abandoned the Colonization Society. Garrison introduces John A. Collins as a \"zealous and efficient\" advocate of emancipation. He refers to a critical situation with the third party and the new organization. Garrison fears that the American Anti-Slavery Society and the National Anti-Slavery Standard will sink without financial aid from abroad. Garrison requests that Elizabeth Pease Nichol and George Thompson counsel John A. Collins. Nathaniel Peabody Rogers and Garrison will give an account of their doings in England at the state anti-slavery convention in Worcester."
