In this letter, William Lloyd Garrison writes: \"Having taken it for granted, that the extraordinary violence of the storm would prevent the gathering of any number of friends at the Bazaar this evening, and having, therefore, made no preparation to speak to edification, I beg to throw myself upon the indulgence of such as may be present, and to be excused for non-attendance, especially in view of the lateness of the hour, and of a night's editorial labor before me.\" On page three of this manuscript, there is a list of towns and dates and the name P. Pillsbury, presumably Parker Pillsbury's anti-slavery lecture engagements. This list is not in William L. Garrison's handwriting."
