"Holograph, signed. William Lloyd Garrison plans to leave Providence to go home to Rockledge on Saturday, and then perhaps go to New York on Monday or Tuesday to put himself under Dr. Dunham's treatment. He doubts that Dr. Dow can do anything for his eczema. Garrison elaborates on the electrical treatments and Turkish baths he received from Dr. Dow: \"Yet what may be highly efficacious in one case, may have no good effect, but rather an injurious one, in another; and I must confess that, after ten days' steady treatment with the battery and the Turkish baths, I not only get no relief, but am worse 'stirred up' than ever.\" This morning, Garrison tried Dr. Dunham's medicine with good results. He thinks a cough, cold, \"congestive fever,\" and low vitality brought on the eczema."
