"Holograph, signed with initials. Letter written in pencil. William Lloyd Garrison tells of meeting Mr. Wright, Mrs. Ellen Wright Garrison's father, on an excursion to Central Park. William Lloyd Garrison saw George Thompson Garrison, who said he might visit him at Rockledge a week from next Saturday. Garrison lists the people who went with him to the Progressive Friends' meeting in Longwood, Pa. While there, Garrison is staying with John and Hannah Cox. Garrison writes: \"Isaac and Dinah Mendenhall have gone on a trip to California; but Oliver and Mary Anne and Mrs. Savin are finding hospitable entertainment at their house, the daughter being housekeeper.\" There has been eight or ten days of rain and the roads are in a terrible condition."
