notes
"Holograph, signed \"Your loving Father.\" William Lloyd Garrison has been sitting for the sculptress Anne Whitney, who is making a bust of him. Garrison says: \"In our legislature we have gained a few more votes on the woman suffrage question. It had several advocates in the House, and no one rose to speak against it.\" Garrison had a pleasant visit from Sarah Southwick and says: \"It was the first time we have met since we parted last May.\" William Lloyd Garrison Jr. \"feels very dubious as to his own situation and prospects\" in the wool business."
