"Holograph, signed. William Lloyd Garrison has been at sea six days but is only one day's sail from New York. There is little prospect of reaching London in time for the convention. He describes the ship and passengers in derogatory terms. He reports on their diet on board ship, Nathaniel P. Rogers's health, and his own health. Garrison includes a stanza of a poem he wrote describing his feelings of homesickness."
