"Holograph, signed. William Lloyd Garrison was surprised and deeply affected by the arrival of Henry Clarke Wright. Garrison realizes that a few dear friends sacrificed to defray Clarke's expenses. Garrison is glad that Helen Eliza Garrison did not come with him. He has urged Henry C. Wright to attend the National Liberty Party Convention in Buffalo tomorrow. He expects there to be a \"complete blow-up\" of the party; he wants Wright to report on the proceedings. Garrison is waiting for Stephen Symonds Foster to arrive; he will go with him to Buffalo. Garrison has lost twenty pounds due to illness."
