"Holograph, signed with initials. Letter written in pencil. Upon his arrival in New York, William Lloyd Garrison was taken to George Benson's residence. Because of the many visitors there, Garrison spent the night at the home of James Sloan Gibbons. There, he met Mrs. Sedgwick, \"the famous school teacher of Lenox.\" Garrison spent his last evening at James Miller M'Kim's home in Germantown and saw a large circle of friends."
