"Handwritten copy of letter; not William Lloyd Garrison's handwriting. See Ms.A.9.2 v.7, p.31 for original manuscript by Garrison. Since William Lloyd Garrison's return, he has been unable to send Robert Purvis as many letters of introduction to his friends in England as he intended. He names fifteen persons to whom he meant to introduce Robert Purvis by letter; he tells Purvis to take the latest anti-slavery publications with him. Garrison bids Purvis farewell and says: \"You are very dear to my heart.\" He sends a special remembrance to the Rev. Nathaniel Paul. In the postscript, Garrison writes: \"N.B. I have written to Mr. Thompson, because I think it is highly probable you will arrive in London before his departure for this country.\""
