"Holograph, signed with initials. Letter is written in pencil. Last Tuesday, William Lloyd Garrison went to New York to see Dr. Dunham, who is treating his injured arm. Garrison took a trip up the Hudson River to Nyack with Mr. & Mrs. Theodore Tilton and Mrs. Bradshaw. The steamer he was on caught fire, but it was put out. He was met in Nyack by Rev. L. D. Mansfield. He visited Washington Irving's former home. The Tiltons are boarding with Mrs. Sarah J. Savin. Garrison became ill from some huckleberries and milk."
