"Holograph, signed. Yesterday, William Lloyd Garrison was told that George Thompson was leaving on a ship for St. John and then England and wanted to see Garrison immediately. Garrison is indignant at the treatment that George Thompson received in this country. Garrison comments: \"To think of his being in danger of assassination, even in broad daylight---nay, even in the streets of Boston! Shame---infamy upon the city! The election has gone quietly. Several votes were cast for William Lloyd Garrison. Garrison saw Mrs. May today, who presumed that Mr. (Samuel Joseph?) May was in Brooklyn. New subscriptions to the Liberator continue to come it."
