"Clipping (information artifact). Letter printed in The Northampton Free Press, March 28, 1874 issue. William Lloyd Garrison declines Mr. Rowland Connor's invitation to attend the dedication of \"Cosmian Hall\" in Florence, Mass. Garrison argues against the infallibility of the Pope and the Bible and in favor of religious dissent. Garrison writes: \"In order that Protestantism may stimulate to the boldest utterance and sturdiest non-conformity, whereby all possible mental and moral growth may be a resultance, there is yet a vast amount of Romanism to be eliminated from it.\""
