William Lloyd Garrison expresses his thanks to the photographer and to Oliver Johnson for the negative sent to him; he prefers this new photograph and hopes it will be for sale in New York. He tells about a meeting (of the Adelphic Union Society) in Williamstown, his own speech, and the size of the audience, etc. He gave a copy of his speech to Merriam, a reporter for the New York Herald. Susan B. Anthony was in the audence. Garrison asks Oliver Johnson if a position can be found for a colored journeyman printer, formerly employed by the Liberator. Prof. Fowler's speech was brilliant, though \"marred by occasional oddities.\" Includes an envelope with the delivery address: Oliver Johnson, New York City."
