notes
"Holograph, signed with initials. William Lloyd Garrison went to Providence with Mary Anne Estlin. In Providence, they were met by Henry Anthony. They visited a cemetery and other points of interest. Garrison had an interview with Rev. Mr. John White Chadwick, a radical Unitarian minister. Miss Estlin liked Providence. Garrison gives his travel plans. Garrison visited Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Dow. Garrison writes: \"Miss Estlin cannot relish our Indian corn, and greatly dislikes our melons. She refuses both apple and whortleberry [blueberry] pies.\""
