William Lloyd Garrison describes a journey in a snowstorm by stage[coach?] to Thompson, then Worcester, and from there in a railroad car that took six and half hours to reach Boston. He went to a meeting of anti-slavery friends at Mrs. Maria Weston Chapman's. Mrs. Lydia Maria Child is remarkably vigorous. Mr. and Mrs. Child will go to Matamoras, near Texas, with Benjamin Lundy. The location of the New England Convention was discussed. John S. Kimball suggested building a shed. His friends agreed that William L. Garrison should reside in Boston after the annual meeting in New York. The Massachusetts Senate will not touch Mr. Lunt's report."
