"Holograph, signed. William Lloyd Garrison was hospitably received at Arthur F. Stoddard's home. Garrison leaves for London the following day and expects to go to Paris from there. His plans depend on the progress of Henry Villard's father's illness. Garrison was given a cordial welcome in Glasgow. He thinks that his visit to Great Britain may have strengthened \"the ties of amity between England and America.\" It is very hard to say farewell to Elizabeth Pease Nichol. He tells of the invitiations he has received to visit Bradford (near Leeds) and a temperance meeting in London."
