"Holograph, signed. William Lloyd Garrison is replying to a letter from Richard Davis Webb regarding Mary Anne Estlin's comments about George Thompson. Garrison writes: \"No person better knows the infirmities of G.T. than I do; and he has never found me backward in giving both expostulation and advice.\" George Thompson's temperament and financial difficulties are described. Mary Estlin seems to have objected to the proposal that George Thompson lecture in Great Britain on behalf of the freedmen's cause. George Thompson's poor health is described."
