"Holograph, signed. William Lloyd Garrison is replying to a letter he received from Mrs. Friend in which she expressed concern for Henry Clarke Wright's health. Mrs. Friend is a medium and claims to have had a clairvoyant vision of Henry Clarke Wright on shipboard and in great distress. Mrs. Friend heard that Garrison is a believer in psychic phenomena. Garrison believes that at Henry Clarke Wright's age, he will suffer greatly from seasickness. Since Garrison spoke to Wright, he has abandoned the idea of going to England."
