notes
"Holograph, signed. William Lloyd Garrison humorously and seriously describes the water cure. He refers to Francis Jackson's seeing Niagara Falls and Canada and the Canadian people as \"willing to remain in colonial vassalage.\" In spirit, Garrison will join the gathering in Lynn to celebrate the first of August, the anniversary of the West Indian Emancipation. Garrison commends his brother-in-law, George William Benson, who lost his position as agent of a factory as a result of being the president of the Anti-Sabbath Convention."
