notes: "Holograph, signed. William Lloyd Garrison cannot accept Samuel May Jr.'s invitation to visit Leicester because Fanny Garrison \"has again badly poisoned herself\" and Ellie (Mrs. William L. Garrison Jr.) has gone to visit her parents. William L. Garrison is expecting a visit from Samuel Joseph May and Mrs. Rosalie Hopper. He regrets Samuel May Jr.'s injury and suggests that George Thompson postpone his visit until a later time."
