Garrison discusses purchasing a berth on board the Cunard liner \"Cuba\" for Bishop Daniel Alexander Payne, a colored man. The World's Anti-Slavery Conference in Paris has been postponed. He wants J. Miller M'Kim to send instructions regarding Bishop Payne by telegram to Bailey, Jenkins, and Garrison, 164 Congress Street, Boston. William L. Garrison and George Thompson are sailing on the \"Cuba\" on May 8."
