"Holograph, signed. William Lloyd Garrison writes: \"Very sorry am I to hear that your health has not improved by your visit to the State; but I trust, now that the dog-days are ended, that we shall have more bracing weather, from the good effects of which you will speedily recuperate.\" William L. Garrison has also been sick. He intended to write a letter of condolence to Mr. & Mrs. John Edward May \"in view of their recent great bereavement.\" He recommends Dr. Seth Arnold's balsam as a medicine for bowel complaints."
