William Lloyd Garrison has not lectured since February because of bronchial trouble, and he will not be able to lecture as much as before. Garrison comments on Samuel Joseph May's printed travel letters. Massachusetts was dishonored \"afresh\" by the inauguration of the statue of Daniel Webster. A petition was circulated asking the legislature to remove the statue. Richard Davis Webb's youngest son is staying at Garrison's house, having traveled from California and is on his way home. The news from Theodore Parker is favorable, but it is doubtful if he will be able to speak again in Music Hall."
