Douglass, Secretary of the Female Literary Association of Philadelphia.\" William Lloyd Garrison writes that the constitution of the Female Literary Association [of Philadelphia] was published in the Dec. 3 issue, (No. 49), of the Liberator. He enumerates five admirable features of such societies. Garrison writes: \"My hopes for the elevation of your race are mainly centered upon you and others of your sex.\" Garrison gives advice."
