"Holograph, signed. William Lloyd Garrison tells about his claim settlement with Travelers Insurance Company. Garrison was unable to write or lecture doing the time he was disabled by an injury to his arm, and he consequently suffered a great financial loss. He ought not to depend on the National Testimonial money. Samuel May Jr. has been working hard to raise money for the Testimonial gift, but he has found it uphill work because of the many appeals for money for colleges, etc. Garrison sends his congratulations to John Edward May \"in view of his recent marriage.\" Mr. and Mrs. Henry Villard are now in Munich. Francis Jackson Garrison wil probably join them tomorrow."
