Farnsworth writes: \"It is a triumph, however, after the base cowering of the abolitionists in this place, to the powers that be, to have them toe the mark by giving the G[rimkes] an invitation to come again.\" Last Sabbath the Rev. Dudley Phelps preached against them, but \"today--all day, has been devoted to them & Garrison.\" Amos Farnsworth refers to the crowded hall when the Grimkes spoke in Boston. Farnsworth says: \"I suppose you anticipate much for the woman cause by the lectures at the Odeon. I think that you are going ahead at a rapid rate. Dudley [Phelps] says you will land on Fanny Wrightism & that such is the fate of all women who venture out of their sphere.\" Amos Farnsworth refers to a visit from Deborah Weston and comments: \"We found Debora[h] quite the thing---we miss her ...\""
