Anne tells about her stay in Weymouth together with Elizabeth Sampson, and the latter's alarming but brief illness. Gives family news. Describes the lecture of the Grimkes. The house was thronged. Mary S. Parker opened the meeting with reading from the Scriptures, which she did very well, \"thought I did not like the Psalm she selected as it was a very triumphant one.\" Sarah M. Grimke spoke \"very well indeed, tho' of course, nothing like Angelina [Grimke.]\" Anne gives news of acquaintances and reports two deaths, Mrs. Stone and another whose name was accidentally torn out.
