Anne Warren Weston describes the meetings at Westford and Littleton; at the former, the audience numbered 250 and both Grimke sisters spoke; at the latter, the audience numbered 400 and only Angelina spoke. \"I have not heard her do so well since she has been in this part of the country.\" Anne rode to Pepperell on horseback alone. \"Tell Maria [Mrs. Maria Weston Chapman] that the cause in this part of the world is in statu quo.\" The Grimkes are returning (to Boston?), but will probably go directly to Brookline. She sends \"love to Henry, Maria, & the baby.\" There is also a receipt: \"Boston 14 Aug. 1837. Rec'd of H.G. Chapman, two dollars and 50/100.\" It is signed by Amos Lyon."
