On verso, the letter is addressed to \"William Lloyd Garrison, Esq. Editor of the Liberator, Boston, Mass.\" and is postmarked with a blue oval stamp reading \"Hudson, Ohio. Mar. 8.\" This letter is printed in the Liberator of March 23, 1833 under the heading \"Western Reserve College, March, 1833.\" On verso, another letter from Green to Garrison is dated, \"Hudson, [Ohio], March 7, 1833\", in which Green asks Garrison to include the previous letter in the Liberator where \"it may do something to awaken public attention to bottom principles\". Green shares his outrage over the views of Mr. [Joseph] Tracy, former editor of the Vermont Chronicle, claiming he is \"grieved and indignant at his paragraphs.\" Green then mentions some news from Western Reserve College and discusses mutual friends."
