He discusses the anti-slavery situation and the prospects of the New Society in New Haven. He thinks the New Organizations should be ignored. He mentions Amistad mutineers and says that they have excited much interest. He notes Leonard Bacon's attack on the principles of non-resistance. Tells about a debate at a theological seminary on the subject of immediate emancipation, presided over by Dr. Taylor. Invites William Lloyd Garrison to visit the theological seminary."
