Anne asks Deborah to send the money for the carpet and discusses domestic affairs. \"I still think that we shall keep Anny [Chapman]. Two children will be as much as they can manage...\" As Henry G. Chapman seems so much better than she expected, Anne will go to New York. She reports on the Boston Female Anti-Slavery Society's meeting, which was \"rather a slender affair...The two Balls [Martha V. and Lucy] came.\""
