[Silas?] Hawley thought Wendell Phillips could lecture in the church, and if not, Hawley would \"make an awful fuss.\" Deborah discusses Hawley's lecture on Christian union. Deborah comments about Hawley: \"He really does his duty on anti-slavery.\" Deborah advises Anne to go to New York; and explains why Anne should not scruple to accept money. Deborah has been free from headaches for three weeks, and she thinks well of homeopathy."
