"Holograph, signed. Edmund Quincy planned to call at Maria Weston Chapman's house on his way to Worcester, but his wife's ill health kept him at home. He feels he does not play an important part at conventions. He refers to the \"Call\" to the Chardon Street Convention and the behavior of Oliver Johnson in regard to it. He is troubled chiefly on William Lloyd Garrison's account. The \"call\" is also mentioned in another letter by Edmund Quincy to Maria Weston Chapman, Oct. 8, 1840, Ms.A.9.2 v.14, p.38."
