She cannot ask Aunt Mary Rotch for a donation since she would \"have to ask it as a personal favor.\" Aunt Mary Rotch is kind to black people, but has \"some stiff notions about societies.\" Eliza Follen will pen something for the Liberty Bell, and is doing what she can for the anti-slavery fair, but she sees not way of getting money now. She describes [Wendell?] Phillips's habit of giving. Follen suggests that Maria Weston Chapman ask Mary Gow to write for the Liberty Bell. She inquires about Emily Taylor. She is pleased that Maria W. Chapman got something from Harriet [Martineau?]."
