[The Boston Quarterly Review article is a January 1841 review of Lady Morgan's Woman and Her Master, probably by Orestes A. Brownson.] Evelina A. S. Smith tried to find material on Toussaint L'Ouverture in the library. She refers to Harriet Martineau's book, The Hour and the Man. She asks if Nathaniel Colver has sold himself to the Devil. She knew him to be a wolf in sheep's clothing ever since she heard him discuss non-resistance principles with Henry C. Wright in Chardon Street Chapel. She reports on a joint meeting of the local male and female anti-slavery societies. Luther B. Lincoln and Dr. Willard take the Massachusetts Abolitionist and they have the impression that William Lloyd Garrison is \"entirely unworthy of respect.\" Evelina A. S. Smith thinks the New Organization is \"a curious compound of falsehood and deception, sanctity and holy zeal.\""
