Northern abolitionists are either excluded from the South or considered as extraneous and meddling. G. R. Russell believes that \"hard words do not make converts.\" He contrasts the abolitionists with the sympathetic, lukewarm class to which G. R. Russell belongs. He pays eloquent tribute to the devotion of the abolitionists. In the postscript, G. R. Russell writes that he has enclosed $25 to the support of the paper of Dr. Snodgrass."
