If the length or late arrival of the letter should cause inconvenience, Maria Weston Chapman should not hesitate to omit it. In the postscript, John Parkman requests that his article appear as an extract from a sermon should it be published. Parkman's article did appear as an extract from a sermon, with the title \"Slavery and the Pulpit\" in the Liberty Bell, 1843, p. 181-194."
