The article is \"not quite consistent with the truth.\" The doctrines of non-resistance \"are very imperfectly understood in this country.\" An outline of the principles of the English peace advocates is given. The British & Foreign Anti-Slavery Society \"refused even to hear a letter addressed to them\" on the subject of women's rights. The author suggests that William Lloyd Garrison write an article on non-resistance for a British periodical. He believes that James Gillespie Birney wrote the enclosed article."
