In the letter, Chapman refers to a \"severe domestic calamity\" which prevented her from making this request seasonably. [The \"domestic calamity\" referred to, was presumably the death of Maria Weston Chapman's father-in-law, Henry Chapman.] Includes, accompanying envelope with the delivery address: To Harro-Harreng, Esq., Care of S. H. Gay, Esq., New York, 142 Nassau Street."
