"Holograph, signed. In this letter, Mary Anne Estlin reports on the forwarding of late donations for the Boston anti-slavery fair and the failure to collect a substantial contribution in Liverpool. Microscopic slides have been prepared for the Boston fair by Mary Anne Estlin's cousin, Augustin Prichard, a surgeon and son of Dr. [James Cowles] Prichard. Mary A. Estlin rejoices that William Lloyd Garrison was able to stay longer than he first planned. Estlin said about Garrison: \"His speech at Newcastle must do much to remove the unfavorable impression entertained of some of his tenets...We still are obliged to fight many battles for him.\" Friends in Exeter are likely still to contribute to the Boston fair. \"It makes all the difference between zeal & indifference\" in the towns where Frederick Douglass and William Lloyd Garrison have lectured."
