Brooks offers the services of a Miss Jervis of Concord to Caroline Weston at the Boston anti-slavery fair. Also enclosed is a print (visual work) of Ralph Waldo Emerson, 1854, artist unknown. It is a head-and-shoulders portrait of Emerson facing right. Handwritten in pencil beneath the image, is: \"Emerson, Vol. I.\""
