Mrs. Wigham, the late Jane Smeal of Glasgow, is taking a deep interest in the cause. Mrs. Mary Welsh is enclosing a note from Miss Cogan, a liberal yearly contributor the the Edinburgh box. Miss Cogan requested an autograph of Dr. (William Ellery) Channing. Mrs. Mary Welsh regrets (John A.) Collins's illness and praises his faithful stand under persecution. Henry C. Wright is expected in Edinburgh to address a total abstinence meeting and is to stay with Mrs. Mary Welsh."
